BOSTON (AP) -- The Boston Bruins had waited a long time for a winning streak.

Patrice Bergeron scored the tiebreaking goal with 2:52 remaining to help the Bruins extend their unbeaten streak to four games with a 3-1 victory Thursday night over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

"I felt like I should have stopped that one," Penguins goalie Jean-Sebastien Aubin said. "It was weird. I saw it, then lost it, and the next thing I knew it was in the net."

Bergeron scored a rare power-play goal for Boston when his wrist shot went over Aubin's shoulder. The Bruins had scored only four goals in their previous 62 power-play opportunities.

"We have urgency and nothing else, but two points is acceptable right now," Bruins goalie Andrew Raycroft said. "If we had come out here tonight and lost 2-1 or 3-1, it would have been all for not after our effort last night."

The last time the Bruins won two straight was Nov. 14-15, when they beat Columbus and Vancouver on back-to-back nights. Boston blanked Detroit 3-0 Wednesday night on the road.

After Bergeron's goal, Penguins coach Ed Olczyk screamed at the officials because Konstantin Koltsov was penalized for roughing.

"I know what I saw, but it obviously wasn't the same as the referees see," Olczyk said. "Our guys deserved much better tonight."

Sean O'Donnell and Mike Knuble also scored for Boston. After winning three games in December and going 0-5-4 in nine games at home, the Bruins are 3-0-1 in their last four.

"It is nice to turn things around because December was a tough month for us," O'Donnell said. "Detroit was easy to get up for, but tonight was more difficult to get up for mentally."

Tom Kostopolous appeared to put Pittsburgh ahead 3:04 into the third period when the puck bounced in off his shoulder, but the goal was reviewed and disallowed.

Martin Strbak scored on one of Pittsburgh's 17 second-period shots to tie it 1-1 at 6:29. He converted a pass from Brian Holzinger on a two-on-one and beat Raycroft.

The goal snapped a shutout streak of 121:14 for Raycroft, who is 3-6-5 in his last 14 decisions. Raycroft assisted on the go-ahead goal and made 31 saves for the Bruins.

O'Donnell gave Boston a 1-0 lead when he scored his first goal of the season, beating Aubin at 8:23 of the first period. O'Donnell has six points this season, but four in the last three games.

Steve McKenna had an assist for the Penguins, who have scored nine goals in their last six games and allowed 23 in that stretch.

Knuble added an empty-net goal with 31.7 seconds remaining.
