Appeared in 3 games for Pittsburgh in 2010-11. Made NHL debut Feb. 21, 2011 vs. Washington.

Has won a gold medal (Team USA, 2006 World Under-18 Championships) and NCAA national title (Boston University, 2009).

Played 2 seasons with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (2009-11).

Posted 24 points (4G-20A) and plus-44 rating in 153 career games for WBS.

Captain of Team USA gold-medal winning team in the 2006 Under-18 World Junior Championships. Also represented the United States at the ’08 World Junior Championships.

Participated in United States National Team Development Program with current WBS head coach John Hynes.

Before turning pro, skated 3 years for Boston University from 2006-09. Capped collegiate career in junior campaign, helping the Terriers claim the NCAA national title.

Named runner-up for Hockey East Best Defensive Defenseman in 2008.
