Played 4-plus NHL seasons with Pittsburgh.

Key member of Penguins’ 2009 Stanley Cup championship, scoring crucial overtime goal in Game 3 of conference semifinals vs. Washington despite playing with an injury that nearly forced him to miss the game.

Set new career highs in 2010-11 in several categories: games played (82); assists (42); points (50); plus-minus (+15); shots (236); and ice time per game (team-best 24:02) while garnering buzz as Norris Trophy candidate (best NHL defenseman).

Overwhelmingly voted to 2011 All-Star Game via Fan Balloting with 477,960 votes, finishing 2nd overall (behind only teammate Sidney Crosby) despite having to be a write-in candidate.

Ranked T-7th among blueliners in ‘10-11 with 50 points, while his 236 shots placed him 4th.

His 5 tallies during the 2010 playoffs tied a franchise postseason high for defensemen (Larry Murphy, 1991).
