2006-07: Had 30 points (17+13) in 41 games with Rapperswil-Jona in the Swiss league...Added 74 PIMs…Had two points (1+1) in six playoff games…Added 10 PIMs.

2005-06: Played in 15 games with the Penguins after he was acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes…Krys Kolanos and a 2007 second-round draft choice also came to the Penguins in the deal for Mark Recchi on March 9…Tallied an assist and was even with four shots Oct. 8 @ NY Islanders...Scored his first goal of the season and first in the NHL and was even with three shots Oct. 12 vs. Washington...Scored his second goal of the season and was plus-1 with one shot Nov. 19 @ NY Rangers...Scored his third goal of the season and was plus-1 with one shot Dec. 2 @ Dallas...Scored his fourth goal of the season and was plus-2 with two shots Jan. 31 @ Montreal...Tallied an assist and was plus-1 with no shots Mar. 1 vs. Boston.

2004-05: Spent season with Timra IK of the Swedish Elite League (SEL), finishing second behind league-leading teammate Henrik Zetterberg in scoring for Timra with 36 points (19+17)…Nordgren was tied for first on his team, and fifth in the SEL in goals (19)…Tallied nine power-play goals and 71 PIMs, and had a plus/minus rating of plus-16…Timra, which included former Penguin Kent Manderville along with current NHL players Zetterberg, Fredrik Modin, Jonathan Hedstrom, Aki Berg and Miikka Kiprusoff, finished third in the SEL.

CAREER: Prior to the 2005-06 season, he had played his entire career in Sweden, tallying 121 points (60+61) in 195 career games in the Swedish Elite League with Timra and Modo Hockey Ornskoldsvik. His top scoring output came in the 2002-03 season, when he finished third in the SEL in scoring with 43 points (20+23+) in 47 games for Timra.
