Hard-working forward with good hockey sense that’s versatile enough to play on any line. Strong defensive player and penalty killer.

Veteran professional played parts of 13 NHL seasons with Pittsburgh, Anaheim, Philadelphia, Minnesota,
Vancouver and NY Islanders from 1995 to 2010.

Dangerous penalty killing threat has 14 career shorthanded goals in career, with 4 in 2007-08 (ranking 5th in NHL). Has even scored twice with his team at a two-man disadvantage (Jan. 16, 2007 vs. Pittsburgh; April 4, 2008 at NY Rangers).

Played 2010-11 season with Geneve Servette of Swiss National League, tallying 34 points (15G-19A) in 47 games.

Has reached double digits in goals and totaled 20-plus points 6 times in career.

Originally drafted by Pittsburgh in 2nd round (50th overall) of 1994 NHL Entry Draft.

Appeared in 58 regular-season games and 4 playoff contests with Pittsburgh from 1994-97. During rookie campaign, was key member of Penguins’ squad that advanced to Eastern Conference finals in 1996.

Became second South Korean-born player to appear in NHL after making NHL debut with Pittsburgh May 3, 1995, joining former Penguins defenseman Jim Paek.

In most recent NHL campaign (NY Islanders, 2009-10), established career high with 22 assists and tied for 2nd-highest point total (31) in 81 games.

Represented the United States in World Junior Championships (1994, ’95) and World Championships (2002, ’04, ’05, ’06).

Played 4 seasons with Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League from 1992-96.

Totaled 85 goals, 144 assists and 229 points in 176 games with Bulls, adding 65 points (30G-35A) in 47 postseason contests.

Signed through 2011-12 season.
