Team Pennsylvania – 2003

The Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers are teaming up to form Team Pennsylvania 2003 for the 2013 Brick Invitational Super Novice Hockey Tournament in Edmonton, Alberta from July 1-7. The Brick Tournament is an invitation-only tournament which features the top 10-year-old players in North America. In addition to great competition, the tournament also provides a number of off-ice activities to create a fun-filled experience for the entire family.

Identification & Tryout Process

In an effort to attract Pennsylvania’s most talented players, the Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers will begin the process by selecting a two teams comprised of players from our respective parts of the state – the Pittsburgh Penguins Selects and Philadelphia Flyers Selects. Coaches from the Penguins Selects team will host an Identification Camp for 2003 birth year players on Wednesday, January 9th at the CONSOL Energy Center. The objective of this camp is to identify players that will be invited to try out for the 2003 Pittsburgh Penguins Selects. The 2003 Penguins Selects players will compete for a roster spot on Team Pennsylvania.

Also on January 9, there will be an ID camp for 2004 birth year players at CONSOL Energy Center. The players chosen for the 2004 Penguins Selects will have the opportunity to practice and play against competition that will compete in next year’s Brick Invitational Tournament.
