America’s Showcase

For the second year in a row, Pittsburgh will host the America’s Showcase, formerly known as the Chicago Showcase.

Twenty-four boys' teams from across the United States representing forty-three States will be competing in the upcoming tournament.  The event will allow them to showcase their talents to scouts from every major hockey institution in the country.

Although the event has taken a new name and moved to Pittsburgh this year, the goal of the America’s Showcase is the same.  It is designed to allow high school hockey players from around the country, who wouldn’t normally get the chance to be scouted due to geographic and budgetary constraints within the scouting circles, the opportunity to compete against the best of the best during a five day period and be seen by every major hockey institution in North America.

The Pittsburgh Penguins and the PIHL are proud to host this prestigious tournament and hope that it will continue to be one of the best national tournaments for high school-aged hockey players.
