Iceburgh Appearance Request

The Pittsburgh Penguins are proud to partner with our local community in a variety of ways. Iceburgh, the Penguins mascot, is one example of how we connect with the local community. Not only is Iceburgh a fixture at all home games as he entertains and ignites the fans, he is also an ambassador within the local Pittsburgh area as he makes appearances at an assortment of community events throughout the year.

Nationally chartered 501(c)(3) non-profit charity organizations (American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, etc.) are eligible to receive one (1) complimentary Iceburgh appearance each calendar year. These appearances typically last a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 60 minutes.

Appearances for all other 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations (including churches), birthday parties, public commercial events, etc. will be charged a minimal fee for the appearance. 

• All requests must be submitted at least six (6) weeks prior to the event using the online request form
• Appearances are generally not scheduled earlier than four (4) weeks prior to the event date
• Iceburgh is not available for appearances on the day of a Penguins home game or Penguins event
• Travel outside of a 10 mile zone from CONSOL Eenrgy Center may require additional fees for travel

Failure to complete the form in its entirety may result in delays to the application process; submission of an online request does not guarantee an appearance by Iceburgh or constitute a contract.
