FRANK BUONOMO
Senior Director of Team Operations and Communications

Frank Buonomo is in his second season with the Penguins as the Senior Director of Team Services and Media Relations. 

Prior to joining the Penguins, Buonomo served as the general manager for the Missouri River Otters of the United Hockey League, overseeing all aspects of the franchise’s operations.

Buonomo also has extensive experience in the NHL. He began his career in hockey as a communications assistant with the New York Rangers from 1994-98. In 1998, Buonomo joined the Nashville Predators as manager of media relations and a year later served in the dual role of director of team services and media relations. After three seasons with the Predators, Buonomo served as director of communications for the St. Louis Blues for three seasons. 

Buonomo graduated from Rutgers University with a communications degree in 1995.  Frank and his wife Kristen live in Pittsburgh with their sons Brady and Ryan.
