Birth Date:

Brampton, ON, CAN
How the Pens Acquired him:
Drafted by Pittsburgh in the 6th round (173rd overall) in the 2014 NHL Draft
Next Step:
Currently recovering from knee surgery

2013-14 Season: Lindo saw his second season with the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) cut short in February after 40 games due to a knee injury, but finished 10th in scoring with 18 points (9G-9A). His nine goals were eighth-best on the Attack.

Accomplishments: 2012-13 Owen Sound Rookie of the Year

Numbers Never Lie: In two years with the Attack, he totaled 14 goals and 26 assists for 40 points in 103 games. He finished 13th on the Attack in the 2012-13 season, posting five goals and 17 assists for 22 points with a plus-12.

Lindo’s take…

On his recovery: “It’s getting a lot better. It’s a long process, but I just need to stay focused and keep working hard and be patient and get back on the ice as soon as I can. Of course, the rehab process is something I’ve been working on for a long time and something that I feel I need to continue to be doing."

On getting drafted: “It was unbelievable, especially by an amazing organization such as this. You know, I was watching at home and I saw my name come on and my face just lit up. My family got excited, and it was a special moment.”

On his thoughts on Pittsburgh: “I love it. It’s a great city, a great facility here, amazing people and I’m happy to be here. It’s a bit different from my hometown, it’s a lot busier but something I can get used to pretty quickly.”

On what type of player he wants to be: “I want to be a power forward, someone who uses their size and their strength to their advantage, and just be more physical and separate the man off the puck.”
