Penguins Recall Forward Andrew Ebbett
The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Andrew Ebbett from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.
Ebbett, 31, currently ranks third on WBS in scoring this season with 37 points (12G-25A) in 40 regular-season contests. His 0.93 point-per-game average is the second-highest total by any WBS player this year behind only Brian Gibbons (1.07).
At the time of his recall, Ebbett had put together an 11-game assist/point streak dating back to March 7 where he registered three goals, 11 assists and 14 points.
The Vernon, British Columbia native has skated in seven NHL games with Pittsburgh this season, collecting one assist.
