START THE DAY
Good morning hockey fans! Tonight the Pens continue their division rivalry with the Washington Capitals. It's always an amazing tilt when Crosby, Malkin, Ovechkin and Backstrom get together for some competitive ice hockey.

  • The Penguins return home to host the Washington Capitals (TV: ROOT SPORTS; Radio: 105.9 the X) at CONSOL Energy Center.
  • The Penguins enter tonight’s game having won a franchise record-tying 12 straight home games. It’s the NHL’s longest home winning streak of the season.
  • Pittsburgh enters tonight’s game having not lost in regulation in its last five games (4-0-1).
  • The Penguins are 13-2-1 in their last 16 games.
  • Pittsburgh has won five straight games against Washington and six of the last seven meetings.
  • During the last four meetings the Penguins have outscored the Capitals, 17-6.
  • The Penguins are 3-0 in their last three home games against the Capitals and 3-0-1 in their last four home games against Washington.
