The Pittsburgh Penguins are pleased to announce Hampton’s Cameron Raidna, North Allegheny’s Marty Hubert, Butler’s Joseph DiMartino and Greater Latrobe’s Chris Johnson as the four Highmark PIHL Players of the Month for November.

The Penguins organization and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield recognize high school players of the month four times each season.

Raidna, a senior goaltender, led the Talbots to seven straight victories to start the season while posting a .927 save percentage. Despite being outshot by a considerable amount in a handful of games, the team leader stepped up and allowed only 1.85 goals against per game.

"It means a lot," Raidna said. "I couldn't have done it without my teammates so I owe this to them. It means a lot to me. All my hard work and the hard work of my team has finally shown to the PIHL and the rest of the league."

Hubert, named team captain on a young North Allegheny squad, has recently shifted from forward to defense due to a rash of injuries. Hubert highlighted an eight-point month (7G-1A) in a 5-2 win over Pine Richland, when he recorded a hat trick while playing defense.

"It is great that the Penguins recognize high school hockey," Hubert said. "We play very hard and all hope to get here at the end of the season for the Penguins Cup. It is just awesome."

DiMartino, a senior forward for the Golden Tornadoes, scored the game-winning goal in the final seconds of a 4-3 win over Seneca Valley. That goal was one of six he tallied in seven games, while playing a crucial role in even-strength and special teams situations.

"It is really nice to come represent Butler," DiMartino said. "Everything we have been working for since the preseason and offseason, we have been working at it for a long time. It shows everything we are working for is paying off."

Johnson, senior captain of the Wildcats, finished November with an impressive 18 points (10G-8A) in just five games. Johnson had hat tricks in games against Montour and Bishop Canevin, and posted six points in a 9-1 win over Moon.
