Pens Roundup: 10/29/13

Tuesday, 10.29.2013 / 3:25 PM / Features
By Michelle Crechiolo

The Penguins practiced on Tuesday at CONSOL Energy Center. Missing from the skate were Chuck Kobasew, Brandon Sutter, Rob Scuderi and injured reserve players Beau Bennett, James Neal and Tomas Vokoun.

Kobasew suffered a lower-body injury midway through the first period of Monday's game against Carolina, and Bylsma said Tuesday he will be out 3-4 weeks.

Bylsma also said as of now, there is still no timetable on Scuderi's recovery from a broken ankle. He sustained the injury in Saturday's game against Toronto.

Bylsma also provided the following updates...

"Brandon Sutter had a maintenance day today and did not practice.

"Beau Bennett skated at length this morning by himself and looks to be maybe returning to practice later this week. No definitive date on that.

"And James Neal remains week-to-week with where he’s at."

Bylsma said the team is okay numbers-wise when it comes to forwards despite losing Kobasew, meaning they won't have to call anyone up before Wednesday's game against Boston.
