Penguins Report: West Point (Day 1)
The only absent players from practice were Brooks Orpik, Derrick Pouliot, Matt D'Agostini and Tomas Vokoun. Head coach Dan Bylsma had the following notes on each player.
- Orpik is day-to-day with a lower-body injury
- Pouliot did not skate because they wanted to dress only eight D-men
- There is nothing new to report on Vokoun

START ME UP
Good afternoon hockey fans. The Pens began their weekend jaunt to West Point Friday morning. The Pens' visit will focus on leadership development and team bonding with three on-ice practice sessions at Tate Rink, home of Army's NCAA Division I men's hockey team.
This is the third time that the Pens have visited West Point during training camp, previously visiting in 2006 and '07. Army men's ice hockey head coach Brian Riley will oversee the team's visit.
Stay tuned throughout the weekend for behind-the-scenes photos, videos and updates.
