Penguins Begin Three-Day Visit to West Point on Friday

Pittsburgh Penguins training camp will shift to West Point for three days beginning Friday, Sept. 27.

Pittsburgh’s visit – which will focus on leadership development and team bonding – includes three on-ice practice sessions at Tate Rink, the home of Army’s NCAA Division I men’s hockey team.

The Penguins will practice at 2 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. All three practices at West Point are open to the public.

This marks the third time that the Penguins have visited West Point during training camp, and the first such visit since 2007. Pittsburgh also spent time at West Point in 2006 during Ray Shero’s first training camp as general manager.
