D'Agostini Finding His Place
During the open practice scrimmage on Saturday, the third line produced two goals – one each for Jokinen and D’Agostini – for Group A in a 3-0 victory over Group C.
“We played a little better today, I think,” D’Agostini, 26, said.

Jokinen, 30, and Sutter, 24, have a history together. They played together for four seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes. The two also spent an entire season skating on the same line. So they already have some experience with each other’s tendencies.
Meanwhile, D’Agostini is playing catch up.
“Both guys are pretty easy to play with,” D’Agostini said. “They’re both simple, straight-forward guys that get their offensive chances by just working hard, getting pucks behind their D and getting our chances from there.
“Every time you come off there are conversations. Go here, you want me here, those kinds of things. They’re good communicators. It’s been pretty good the last couple of days.”
D’Agostini scored the scrimmage’s first goal. He carried the puck on net and made a couple moves in tight in the crease. D’Agostini managed to slip the puck under the pad of Eric Hartzell.
“It was a half two-on-one. I had it going to the net,” D’Agostini said of the play. “They didn’t want any pass going across so I just took it hard to the net. (Hartzell) got his pad out there. I don’t even know where it went in. It must have just slid in somewhere. It was nice to get that one.”
While D’Agostini is still getting used to his linemates, he’s also getting used to his new home in Pittsburgh and with the Penguins.
“This is a Class A organization, great staff, great players and I’m just happy to be a part of it,” he said.
