The Penguins and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh are teaming up for a children’s book drive this Saturday, presented by First Energy Solutions. Donate a new or gently used children’s book when the Penguins faceoff with the Rangers and you’ll be eligible to win prizes! Donations will be used in summer reading programs and general circulation, benefitting young readers throughout Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh branches.
A reminder to fans attending Saturday afternoon’s game that the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade begins at 10:00 am in Downtown Pittsburgh. Please allow extra time on your way to CONSOL Energy Center due to increased traffic in and around the city.
Similar to last year’s Stanley Cup playoffs, NHL security has mandated that all fans entering NHL arenas be screened with hand-held wands by arena security personnel. The goal is to create the safest possible environment for fans in arenas across the league.
Stop by “The Carvery” located by Section 107 to purchase one of Saturday’s special chef-prepared creations: Roasted strip loin with provolone cheese, caramelized onions and roasted garlic mayo on a Kaiser roll.
Pick up your tickets for the new Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation 50/50 Raffle for a chance to win Saturday’s jackpot. Proceeds from this afternoon’s raffle benefit St. Anthony’s School. Visit one of the seven concourse kiosks or watch for ticket sellers through the second intermission. The winning number will be announced in the third period.
