Sidney Crosby is officially “a Penguin forever.”
Crosby, 24, agreed to terms with the Penguins on Thursday on a 12-year, $104.4-million deal. On Sunday it became official, as Crosby inked his name on the dotted line.
Under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, the new deal couldn’t be signed until July 1 at noon. The newly signed deal will start in the 2013-14 season and run through 2024-25.
On Thursday, Crosby’s agent Pat Brisson said “Sidney wanted to be a Penguin forever.” And this deal will do just that.
