Pens Draft History - Bob Errey

Bob Errey/Pittsburgh Penguins

1983 - 1st round - 15th overall

Known for his speed and quickness, Bob Errey was selected in the first round (15th overall) by the Penguins in 1983 after posting 100 points (53G-47A) for the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League. During his first season, Errey made the team at the young age of 19.

Over his 10-plus seasons in a Penguins’ uniform, the left winger posted 20 goals or more three times, with his best season coming during the 1988-89 campaign, when Errey posted career highs in goals (26), assists (32) and points (58). Errey was also a contributor to the Penguins’ two Stanley Cup championship teams in 1991 and 1992. Errey would score 290 points (141G-149A) in 634 games for the Pens.
