Total of 5,000 Free Tickets Available to Public For 2012 NHL Draft on June 22 and 23
A total of 5,000 free tickets will be available to the general public for the 2012 NHL Draft on Friday, June 22 and Saturday, June 23 at Pittsburgh’s CONSOL Energy Center.
1,500 free tickets will be available to the general public for the first round on Friday and 3,500 free tickets will be available for rounds 2-7 on Saturday.
Tickets will be available online starting Tuesday, June 5 at 10 a.m. At that time, there will be a direct link for tickets at www.pittsburghpenguins.com/draft. There is a limit of four general admission tickets per order – first come, first served.
Seating capacity for the draft is approximately 10,000 because of NHL stage and media configurations. The NHL will use more than 3,000 of those tickets (including an allotment for draft prospects and their parents). Penguins season ticket holders and season ticket waiting list members had first chance at the remaining tickets.
The first round begins at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. The Saturday event begins at 10 a.m.
Both days of the draft are ticketed events. Tickets will be scanned upon entry to CONSOL Energy Center.
