The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned defensemen Simon Despres and Brian Strait to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.
Despres, 20, has played in 16 NHL games this season for Pittsburgh, tallying four points (1G-3A) and a plus-5 rating. Strait, 24, has appeared in four NHL games for the Penguins, going scoreless with a plus-1 rating.
