Penguins Recall Forward Eric Tangradi from Wilkes-Barre\/Scranton
The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Eric Tangradi from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.

Tangradi, 23, has appeared in 12 NHL games this season with Pittsburgh, going scoreless with 12 penalty minutes. In parts of three seasons with the Penguins, Tangradi has amassed career totals of 28 games played, one goal, two assists and three points.

The 6-foot-4, 221-pound Tangradi has played the majority of the season with WBS, where he currently ranks third on the team with 15 goals and fifth with 31 points in 37 games.

A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Tangradi has played in 144 career regular-season games for WBS, scoring 50 goals, 53 assists and 103 points. He has added two points (1G-1A) in four postseason games.

Tangradi, who was originally drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2007 NHL Draft, played four seasons of junior hockey with the Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) from 2006-09. In his final season with the Bulls in ’08-09, Tangradi tallied 88 points (38G-50A) to finish eighth in the OHL scoring race.
