2012 Street Hockey USA Tournament

Street Hockey USA presents two great dek/ball/street hockey tournaments for 2012: the Mid-West Regional at Hot Shots Indoor Arena and the 17th Annual Street Hockey USA National Championships at RMU Island Sports Center.

The Mid-West Regional will be held February 18-19 at Hot Shots Indoor Arena in Mt. Pleasant, just east of Pittsburgh.

Prizes will include
• Team trophies awarded to Championship and Runner-Up teams
• Outstanding Player awards
• Individual prizes awarded to each member of Championship teams

The cost is $450 per team (U.S. funds only). Local teams may be required to play Friday, Feb. 17.

The Annual Street Hockey USA National Championships will be held April 28-29 at RMU Island Sports Center in Sewickley.

Prizes will include:
• Team trophies awarded to Championship and Runner-Up teams
• Outstanding Player awards
• Individual prizes awarded to each member of Runner-Up teams
• Jackets awarded to each member of Championship teams

A $250 entry discount will be awarded to each championship team.

The cost is $575 per team (U.S. funds only). Local teams will be required to play Friday, April 27.

Each event will host Men’s D & Novice divisions with (3) games guaranteed per team and will feature a roller hockey tournament. Email penguinsroller@hotmail.com for details.

For each event, standard ASHI/IDTA rules will be used:
• Each team uses (5) runners and a goalie.
• Center line is offsides.
• Body checking and fighting are forbidden.
• High sticking won’t be called when signaling for a pass.
• Matching color shirts are required.
• Gloves and shin pads are required.
• Goaltenders must wear full equipment.
• Games consist of three 10-minute periods.

The minimum roster is 11, the maximum is 18. D & Novice teams may not use A players. Novice teams may use up to (2) players also playing in D.

*Teams may only use players from within a 50-mile radius of their home rink.
