The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Jason Williams and defenseman Alexandre Picard to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.
Williams, 31, has played in seven games this season for Pittsburgh, tallying a goal and an assist while averaging 10:22 minutes. Both of Williams’ points came in an 8-3 defeat of the Buffalo Sabres on Dec. 17.
Picard, 26, has appeared in 17 games for the Penguins, collecting four assists and a plus-4 rating in 13:08 minutes per game. Picard has finished plus or even in 12 of his 17 games.
