Special Edition Penguins Neon Clock On Sale Now
A special edition Pittsburgh Penguins classic neon clock, featuring the original Penguins’ logo, is one sale now -- with proceeds benefitting the important work of the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation.

The Penguins Foundation supports youth initiatives throughout the region, including youth hockey.

The 20-inch classic neon clock, manufactured in Perryopolis, PA, was created exclusively for the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation, and features the very first logo developed by the organization in 1967. This logo was never used on a jersey until January 1, 2011, when players wore it during the Winter Classic at Heinz Field.

Clocks are available for sale at the foundation’s website, www.pittsburghpenguinsfoundation.org. Cost for each clock is $299.99. The clocks will be display on Penguins’ home game nights at the foundation’s booths in the main and upper concourses of CONSOL Energy Center.

Penguins Foundation programs are centered on the development of our region’s youth. These include HEADS UP Pittsburgh, where 2,300 youth hockey players received free baseline concussion testing and education,; “Learn to Play,” where over 3,300 youth players get to take advantage of free hockey equipment; the Explorer Series; Project Power Play; and Hockey is for Everyone. Part of the proceeds from sales of the clocks also will establish a scholarship fund at California University of Pennsylvania (CALU) to benefit students who are pursuing a career in early childhood and elementary education.

“We are extremely excited to partner with a local company to create this keepsake clock”, said Dave Soltesz, president of the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation.  “It is a perfect addition to any game room and serves as a ‘timely’ reminder of the important work of the Foundation.”
