0:00: That's game! Team Gold holds on for a 3-2 victory over Team Black, led by Malkin's two-goal effort.
1:05: Malkin's line goes hard to the net, but Munroe says no once again. Gold outshooting Black by a 33-21 margin.
5:33: Geno nearly completes the hat trick bid when he is able to get around the D, but he can't tuck it past Munroe on the backhand attempt.
7:39: Not much to report these last few minutes. Play has been flowing in both directions for a long period of time now, which is good to see.

15:03: And Black heads back to full strength unscathed.
17:03: Engelland heads to the box and now it's Gold who has the PP!
19:22: Malkin is out of the box and Gold is back to full strength.
20:00: Game on! Black starts the period with 37 seconds remaining on a PP.
The trophies that the WBS Penguins won this year are currently in the team suite at Mohegan Sun Arena. Too cool:
The one at the top is the Macgregor Kilpatrick Trophy, given to the AHL team with the most points during the regular season. Middle trophy is for the Eastern Division champs and the bottom one is for the Eastern Conference winners. Congrats again for an amazing 2010-11 season WBS!
0:00: The first 40 minutes are in the books. Gold carries a 3-2 lead into the final frame and a 25-18 advantage in shots. Malkin has two goals for Gold while Staal has a pair for Black.
1:22: Geno heads to the box and Black is on the PP for the remainder of the period.
Who are those fine fellas? It's Bylsma and Reirden when they manned the bench for WBS.
3:55: Black is back to full strength.
6:05: Michalek gets two for holding and Gold goes on the PP. First PP unit for Gold goes in an umbrella formation, with Malkin, Letang and Letestu on the top and Neal and McDonald in front of the net.
6:11: Really liking the way Gold has been able to stretch the ice. The D are making long, heads-up passes that the forwards are able to either carry or dump into the offensive zone. I also think the pairing of Martin and Samuelsson for Gold is working well tonight.
11:15: TK gets past the Gold defense and displays some incredible patience with the puck, drawing B. Johnson out of his crease. Kennedy then goes past the goal line and stops, feeding Staal just outside the blue paint right on the tape. Staal has a wide-open net for the score. Gold 3, Black 2
12:44: Geno is back with a vengeance! He scores his second of the night when he positions himself in the slot and re-directs a perfect pass past Flower! Gold 3, Black 1
17:02: Martin holds off a Team Black forward with one arm and sends a pass over to D partner Samuelsson. He makes a perfect heads-up pass to a curling teammate, who gets the shot off but Fleury makes the save.
18:04: Great shift by the Dupuis-Letestu-MacDonald line for Team Gold. They kept the cycle going in the offensive zone and got a couple of shots off.
20:00: Staal wins the faceoff over Malkin and it's game on!!!
0:00: That'll do it for the first. Gold leads 2-1 on goals from Vitale and Malkin, with Staal netting a PP tally for Black. Gold has a 14-11 advantage in shots.
0:40: Despres makes a great play to cut off the middle of the ice for N. Johnson, then proceeds to stand him up just inside the blue line.
2:27: Kennedy displays some nifty moves arounbd the slot area and backhands a shot to the cage, but B. Johnson makes the save.
6:36: Staal scores on the man advantage when he gets behind the defense and finds some open space. He goes to his forehand and slips the puck past B. Johnson. Gold 2, Black 1
8:21: Black goes on the PP as Lovejoy gets sent to the box. First PP unit for Black is Kennedy, Kunitz and N. Johnson up top, Williams and Niskanen on the point.
10:51: WELCOME BACK GENO!!! Sullivan skates the puck around the net, comes out and finds Malkin waiting on the back door. All Geno has to do is tap it home for the score. Perfect pass, perfect positioning. Gold 2, Black 0
13:16: Malkin goes to the box for holding. Black on the PP.
13:15: The entire arena just sang Happy Birthday to Pens head coach Dan Bylsma, who turns 41 today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY COACH!!!
13:53: Martin collects the puck in the slot, picks his spot and snipes a wrister top shelf past Fleury! Gold 1, Black 0
14:28: Gold has really been controlling the play these last few minutes. Malkin has looked great in his first few shifts back in game action.
16:34: Nice shift by the pairing of Martin and Samuelsson (Gold). They both were calm and collected with the puck at the blue line, keeping play rimmed in Black's zone.
19:06: Heads-up play by Malkin to cover the point when Samuelsson pinched down. Gold is controlling the play so far.
20:00: Mark Letestu wins the opening faceoff for Team Gold. Game on!!!
Here's how the lines shake down for each team. Something to remember is that Gold will be wearing white jerseys for the game.
GOLD (WHITE JERSEYS):
Hello from Wilkes-Barre, PA! We're posted up at Mohegan Sun Arena, home of the WBS Penguins, for tonight's Black and Gold Game. The exhibition match is back after taking last year off, so it's sure to be a great battle between teammates.
Both Team Black and Team Gold practiced at CONSOL Energy Center before we took off for Wilkes-Barre earlier this afternoon, and we talked to a few of the guys about the opportunity to go up against each other and how much they enjoy being back in Wilkes-Barre, a place where many of them played before making it to the NHL.
There's even going to be some competition between the coaches. WBS head coach John Hynes and WBS assistant coach Alain Nasreddine will man one bench while Pens assistant coaches Tony Granato and Todd Reirden will man the other.
"The last black and gold game the Wilkes-Barre coaches beat the Penguin coaches," head coach Dan Bylsma said earlier, who will be evaluating from the stands. "There’s some sore feelings, Wilkes-Barre coaches are 1-0."

Tonight's game will be broadcast on Pittsburgh Penguins 24-7 Radio right here on our website, so make sure you tune in to hear Phil Bourque and WBS Penguins play-by-play announcer Tom Grace call all of the action.
