Class A: South Fayette 5, Sewickley Academy 1

Nick Schultz scored twice and added two assists and Nicolas Blocher made 37 saves to lead South Fayette past Sewickly Academy, 5-1, on Tuesday.

The Lions gained an early 4-0 lead entering the third period thanks to goals from Joe Testa, Brian Bodine, Dan Curtin and Schultz. Schultz then scored South Fayette’s fifth tally in the the final frame.

Alex Pfeifer scored for the Panthers while Hayden Moyer made 34 saves.

Class AA: Elizabeth Forward 6, Moon 2

Justin Delmaster’s four-point night (2G-2A) led Elizabeth Forward to a 6-2 victory over Moon on Tuesday at the Rostraver Ice Garden.

Elizabeth Forward jumped to an early 2-0 lead just 2:41 into the first period, but Moon answered with a pair of goals to even the score at 2-2. That’s when the Warriors exploded with four unanswered goals to win the game by a final score of 6-2.

Daniel Neff, Dustin Briggs and Casey Haughey also scored for Elizabeth Forward. Nigel Crighton and Uhrig Koby scored for Moon.

Class AAA: North Allegheny 3, Plum 1

Joseph Griffin’s two goals, including the game winner, helped North Allegheny top Plum, 3-1, on Tuesday at Bladerunners of Warrendale.

Jacob Hubert scored North Allegheny’s other tally. Jason Pastucha scored for Plum.

Tyler Kuhn made 13 saves for North Allegheny, while Taylor Cestra made 25 saves for Plum.
