Penguins Recall Forward Eric Tangradi
The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Eric Tangradi from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.

Tangradi, 21, has appeared in nine games with Pittsburgh this season, posting one goal and two points. Tangradi, a second-round pick (42nd overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by Anaheim, recorded his first-career NHL point at New Jersey Oct. 11, and first NHL goal against the NY Islanders Oct. 15.

Tangradi (6-foot-4, 221 pounds) leads WBS with 18 goals (tied) while ranking fourth in points (32) through 42 games. He recorded 39 points (17G-22A) in 65 games for WBS in 2009-10.

The Philadelphia, Pa. native played three seasons with the Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League. He totaled 67 goals, 101 assists and 168 points in 176 career games, adding 56-career postseason points (23G-33A) in 52 games. Tangradi set career highs in goals (38), assists (50) and points (88) in his final season in Belleville (2008-09), finishing eighth in the OHL in scoring.
