Crosby, Letang Continue to Rank Nos. 1-2 in NHL All-Star Fan Balloting
Penguins captain Sidney Crosby and defenseman Kris Letang rank Nos. 1-2 among overall vote-getters for the second straight week in 2011 NHL All-Star Fan Balloting, presented by XM.

Crosby, who leads the league in goals (26) and points (51), holds the top spot for the fourth straight week with 410,754 votes. Letang, whose plus-18 rating is the best in the NHL, received more than 80,000 votes last week to continue pacing all defensemen and write-in candidates with 293,584 votes.

Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, who is in the middle of a career-best 11-game winning streak, and forward Evgeni Malkin each moved into the top-10 overall vote-getters.

Fleury, who ranks eighth overall with 218,350 votes, leaped into second place among goaltenders behind Montreal’s Carey Price.

Malkin ranks 10th overall with 211,699 votes. He sits in fourth place among forwards, just 7,391 votes behind Tampa Bay’s Steven Stamkos for the third and final starting position.

Other Penguins to collect votes through the first four weeks include forwards Maxime Talbot (30,185), Chris Kunitz (20,285) and Pascal Dupuis (8,232) and defensemen Paul Martin (110,329), Brooks Orpik (38,622) and Alex Goligoski (8,420).
