FINAL SCORE: Ducks 3, Penguins 2.
0:00: It looked like nothing could stop the Penguins from coming back. But Hiller stood tall and the Penguins just couldn't find that tying goal, and the Penguins fall 3-2. That's the first time the Ducks beat the Penguins in regulation since the 2003-04 season.
1:09: The Penguins pulled Fleury.
2:38: Comrie had another great chance, but couldn't get around Hiller. It looks like we're in for an exciting finish.
4:50: Fleury just had a great save on Koivu! The Penguins were in the middle of a long shift, and Koivu made a nice move around the tired Penguins defense. He took a shot from the left side of the net, but Fleury slid into position just in time and made the save with his pads.
6:23: Dupuis just had a great chance. The puck bounced off Fowler's skate and went right to Dupuis' stick. He ripped a wrister at Hiller, but it bounced off the pads. The Penguins are pouring everything they have on the Ducks. The clock is the Penguins' enemy right now.
8:09: Kunitz leaves the box and the Penguins are back to full strength.
8:48: The Ducks will have a brief power play as Selanne's penalty expired.
9:36: Visnovsky took a sneaky shot at Fleury as he was entering the zone. The puck bounced off Fleury and he swatted it with his stick to clear it out of the air.
10:09: Kunitz hit Koivu in the corner, and was called for cross-checking. A scrum ensued in the corner, and Letang and Corey Perry started jabbing at each other. There will be 4-on-4 hockey for 1:16.
10:53: The Penguins will have a chance on the power play to tie this game up. Selanne hooked up Goligoski as he was making his way out of the defensive zone.
12:50: Bobby Ryan just checked Kennedy into the bench, who hit the divider and went down hard.
Some shirts in honor of Washington, Pa. native George Parros.
13:23: The Penguins almost tied it right there. After a Penguins shot, Matt Cooke found the rebound to the right of Hiller. He blasted a shot, but Hiller made the save and covered the puck.
15:16: The Penguins are keeping the pressure on the Ducks, as they got a few more shots on Hiller. There are a ton of Penguins fans in Anaheim and they are getting loud after that Crosby goal.
16:12: Crosby got his second goal of the night! He made a nice pass to a breaking Kris Letang, who shot the puck from the right point. The rebound found Crosby's stick, who shot it back at Hiller. The puck trickled through Hiller's five hole. Ducks 3, Penguins 2.
18:40: Arron Asham took a nice shot off the faceoff from the right circle, but the puck went just wide.
19:42: It sounds like the crowd in the Honda Center is full of Penguins fans chanting "Let's Go Pens" to start the period.
20:00: The Penguins need two more goals to tie this game. So let's hope they can keep up their energy and some of those hit-posts should turn into goals.
SECOND PERIOD NOTES:
-The Penguins revamped power play looks effective tonight. They took some nice shots and they used the man-advantage to get back in the game near the end of the period.
-The Penguins are leading in faceoff percentage, with 52 percent.
-Dupuis and Malkin lead the Penguins with three shots each.
0:00: Hiller just absolutely STONED Malkin. Crosby made a great play off the faceoff by jumping forward and dishing the puck to a wide-open Malkin on the left side. Malkin took a nice shot, but Hiller somehow made the save. That's the end of the second frame, and the Penguins are leading the Ducks in shots, 20-15.
2:11: Dupuis almost got another for the Penguins, but Hiller wasn't phased by Crosby's goal and made another point-blank save.
2:33: Sidney Crosby just got his first goal against the Ducks! Kris Letang ripped a shot toward the net from the left circle and Crosby tipped it over Hiller's pad to put the Penguins on the board. With the way the Penguins are playing tonight, a comeback is certainly not out of the question. Ducks 3, Penguins 1
3:54: Evgeni Malkin made a nice move around Selanne and should have had a breakaway, but Selanne held him up as he went after the puck. That's a holding penalty on Selanne. The Penguins will have a chance on the power play to get back in this game before the second intermission.
4:55: Paul Martin had another nice chance for the Penguins, but the story of the night is Hiller keeping the Penguins off the board.
5:34: Saku Koivu put the Ducks up by three. Selanne dished it to Koivu coming down the slot. He took a slapper and Fleury made a great save, but got knocked down and the puck trickled out in front of hte crease. Goligoski dove into the crease, but was unable to keep Koivu from poking it into the open net. Ducks 3, Penguins 0
7:38: The Ducks got another one from behind the net. Corey Perry made a great pass from behind Fleury right to Getzlaf's stick, who shot the puck top-shelf past Fleury. Ducks 2, Penguins 0
9:09: The Penguins are still creating great chances, but Hiller is standing on his head. Comrie found the puck after a scramble in the crease and took a point-blank slapshot, but Hiller stoned him.
11:15: Ryan Carter almost put the Ducks up by two. He got a breakaway and had a clean shot on Fleury. He made a nice move and forced an open net, but he lost the puck when he tried to shift to his backhand.
12:25: The Ducks get on the board first. Zbynek Michalek and several other Penguins made some great blocks, but each time, the puck bounced back to an Anaheim player's stick. Bobby Ryan found a rebound off of Dupuis' stick and ripped it behind Fleury from the center point. Ducks 1, Penguins 0
14:04: Fleury made another INCREDIBLE save on Selanne. Jason Blake took the puck around the net and fed it through the crease to Selanne, who tried to put it top shelf. But Fleury absolutely robbed him.
14:30: The Penguins are getting some great chances, as they are controlling play in the offensive zone. Off a faceoff, Crosby fed a pass to Kunitz. The former Duck ripped a shot on Hiller, but it bounced off the goaltender's pads.
16:01: Fleury just made an amazing save on Teemu Selanne. The 40-year-old showed incredible speed coming down the left wing and got ahead of the Penguins defenders. But Fleury stopped his breakaway shot, and then he stuffed Josh Green on the rebound.
17:18: Mike Comrie almost put the Penguins on the board near the end of the power play. Mark Letestu took a shot from the right side of Hiller and Comrie had an open net, but he couldn't quite control the puck and Hiller made the save.
18:31: Malkin just generated a nice chance. He came flying down the right wing and centered the puck, but it was just behind Kunitz - who went crashing into the net.
19:04: The Ducks took a too many men on the ice penalty. The Penguins will go back on the power play.
20:00: Both teams had some great chances in the first period, but Fleury and Hiller stood tall. Let's hope the Penguins can break through and get the first goal here in the second.
FIRST PERIOD NOTES

-Deryk Engelland and Brooks Orpik lead the Penguins with three hits each.
-Alex Goligoski leads both teams with 2 blocks.
-Sidney Crosby won four of his five faceoffs (80 percent).
Penguins fan and Hodgkin's Disease survivor Eric Naughton is in the stands. After winning his battle against cancer, he vowed to learn to play hockey. He is in Southern California filming a documentary, "Life, Cancer and the Pursuit of Hockey." The Penguins were inspired by his story and invited him to attend Fantasy Camp in February.
0:00: With time winding down, Michalek carried the puck around the left circle and dished it to Orpik in front of the net, but again, a scramble in front of the net ended with the puck shooting out into the corner. That's the end of the first period. This game is scoreless, and the Ducks lead the Penguins 7-5 in shots.
0:58: After another scramble in front of Fleury, Malkin and Crosby led a rush into the offensive zone, but Crosby's shot was quickly covered by Hiller.
2:30: Ryan's penalty expires. After the penalty Orpik sniped a shot from the point and it clanged off the post. This game is already a thriller, but it remains scoreless.
4:55: Bobby Ryan took a roughing penalty, and the Penguins will go on the power play.
4:55: Lubomir Visnovsky gave up the puck to Dupuis, who took a nice slapper from the left circle, but Hiller made the save and froze the puck.
5:41: Letang took a shot from the top of the right circle, but the puck rang off the post.
6:35: The Penguins had another 2-on-1. Malkin was breaking down the left wing, and he had Kennedy on the right. Malkin made a nice move around the defender, but he couldn't quite bury it.
7:32: The Penguins had their own breakaway. Kunitz and Goligoski had a 2-on-1, but Kunitz's pass jumped over Goligoski's stick - who was right in front of Hiller.
8:13: Kyle Palmieri just had a mini-breakaway. But Martin kept him to the outside and Fleury was able to make a nice poke-check.
8:44: Mark Letestu just had a nice chance in the offensive zone. He made a move around the laid-out defender, but he couldn't find an open man. It led to a 4-on-2 for the Ducks, but Paul Martin made a nice play to keep the Ducks from registering a shot.
11:25: Fleury made a few nice saves there. Fowler ripped a shot from the right point and Flower made the stop. Later in the Ducks power-play, Fleury once again kicked the puck out to safety after a scramble in the crease.
12:30: Craig Adams almost scored a shorthanded goal. The Penguins did a nice job of keeping the puck away from the Ducks and Adams found it right in front of Hiller, but he wasn't able to put it in the net.
13:08: Zbynek Michalek hit Corey Perry behind Fleury and was called for boarding. The Penguins will go on the penalty kill. After the play, Crosby and Getzlaf were still going at it.
14:01: Sidney Crosby and Ryan Getzlaf got into a scuffle behind Hiller, and the two former team Canada teammates were jabbing at each other the whole way to the bench.
17:??: FSN's clock isn't working, but Fleury made his first nice save of the game. There was a scramble in the crease, but Fleury poked the puck away.
18:18: Off the faceoff, Deryk Engelland challenged Washington, Pa. native George Parros. The two dropped the gloves, but Engelland lost his footing and the fight was over quickly.
19:30: Pascal Dupuis almost gave the Penguins an early lead. Sidney Crosby dumped the puck into the offensive zone and it bounced right in front of Hiller, but Dupuis' swing missed the puck. It's a special night for Dupuis, he is playing in his 600th game.
20:00 Let's hope the Penguins can bounce back and get a win.
10:07 PM: Jonas Hiller is in goal for the Ducks.
10:04 PM: Anaheim's Teemu Selanne is playing in his 1,200 game tonight.
10:01 PM: There was a minor earthquake in Orange County this morning, a 3.7 magnitute quake briefly shook the area. But Dan Bylsma - who spent time playing in Anaheim and Los Angeles - told FSN's Dan Potash - who grew up in Beverly Hills - that "it was nothing."
10:00 PM: Greetings from my living room. Those of us in Pittsburgh are freezing and staying up late to watch the Penguins take on the Anaheim Ducks, while Jason Seidling is enjoying the warm weather and Penguins hockey in Southern California (He had quite the adventure yesterday).
The Penguins are looking to bounce back from a 5-2 loss at Dallas on Wednesday. Pascal Dupuis is back with the team after his wife gave birth to the couple's fourth child, Lola.
With Dupuis back in the lineup, here are the Penguins lines for tonight:
Marc-Andre Fleury is in net.
