Starring Jay Baruchel (“Knocked Up,” “Tropic Thunder”) and Alice Eve, the film includes spectacular footage of the city and live action from a Penguins regular season game shot late in the 2007-08 season.
In the comedy, Kirk (Baruchel), an average Joe, can’t believe his luck. Though he’s stuck in a seemingly dead-end job as a Pittsburgh airport security agent, against all odds, Molly (Eve), a successful and outrageously gorgeous babe, falls for him. Kirk is stunned. So are his friends, his family and even his ex-girlfriend. Now he has to figure out how to make the relationship work, even though he’d be the first to admit she’s totally out of his league.
The film is rated R.
“She’s Out of My League” is produced by Pittsburgh native Jimmy Miller and David Householter. Miller, who grew up in Castle Shannon and graduated from Point Park University, worked as an usher at the Civic Arena in the 1970s and wanted to bring a film back to his hometown.
