Penguins Report: Back at It

8:32 PM:
Here is what a few of the Penguins did during their Olympic break time off:

Dan Bylsma
I went to Seven Springs for two days and did some skiing and lounged around. I woke up to no alarm for seven days, which I enjoyed. I got to see a lot of my son. I picked him up from school and went to his games, so it was a good rest.

Bill Guerin
It was great. We had a fun trip down to the Caribbean. It was just a blast. We had good-quality family time. The beach was great. It was just a lot of fun. We had a lot of time in the pool and in the ocean with a little bit of kayaking and riding waves. When you get down there and see the water and beach everyday – the snow is alright, but it’s time for it to go.

Alex Goligoski
I sat around and caught up on laying around and relaxing. It was perfect for me.

Pascal Dupuis
I went down south with my wife and kids for six days. We went down to the Bahamas.

Mark Eaton
I just relaxed and got away for a little bit and went to some warmer weather. I spent a lot of time with the family. I went to Turks and Caicos. We did more kids activities – waterslides and things that were fun for the whole family.

Jay McKee
I went down to Florida for a little bit and back home (Buffalo) for a little bit. I got some rest, squeezed in some workouts.

Ruslan Fedotenko
I went to see my family. Went to Sacramento and watched the kids play hockey. It was pretty good.

5:38 PM:
The Penguins are down by one goaltender while Marc-Andre Fleury remains with Team Canada in Vancouver. Because the NHL has frozen team rosters, the club couldn't recall anyone from its minor league system to give Brent Johnson a hand in practice. So the club turned to video coordinator Jim Britt. Britt was given a set of equipment and partook in his first professional practice in a fill-in role.

5:15 PM:
It's time for the Penguins to get back to work. With the NHL's mandatory league shutdown expiring, the team regrouped for practice on Wednesday evening. It was the first time the club has been together (minus the team's Olympians) since Feb. 14.
