The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Nick Johnson from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.
Johnson, 24, made his NHL debut and scored his first career goal in Pittsburgh’s game against the Washington Capitals on Thursday. He finished the game with three shots and one hit in 9:21 minutes of ice time.
Johnson (6-foot-2, 202 pounds) is in his second full season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and ranks fifth on the club with 22 points (7G-15A) in 27 contests.
