Jordan Staal fielded questions regarding playing against his brother Eric of Carolina for the 1,309,230,238th time. Then the media tackled the idea of covering the brother story. So Jordan answered questions about answering questions about playing against his brother (follow all that?). He is the Q and A to make things easier:
Have you answered every possible question about your brother now?
I don't know. That's a part of it. (The media) has to talk about something. It's always a neat story and it's something special. It was a lot of fun. People love hearing about that I guess.
What is left to ask you about on that subject?
I don't know. It seems like you guys have covered most of it. It seems like there are new things coming up every year. I'm sure there will be plenty more.
Do you and your brothers joke about answering all these questions?
We get a few questions here and there. We joke about it a little bit, making fun of you guys. Again, it's a part of our family. And it comes with the territory.
There was no change in Pittsburgh’s line combinations at the morning skate. The usual units worked together:
Coach Bylsma has used these groupings at every morning skate for the past two weeks even though he has quickly changed them up during games. As usual, if Bylsma is shuffling the lines, he wasn’t tipping his hand at the skate.
There aren’t any expected changes on the blue line:
Marc-Andre Fleury is expected to get the nod in net.
Here are some shots from Carolina’s Wednesday morning skate:
Left: Eric Staal, his brother plays for Pittsburgh. Maybe you’ve heard of him. Maybe not.
Right: One of the most loved and respected men in hockey, former Penguin Ron Francis.
The Penguins have announced a time change in their 2009-10 schedule. The team’s April 6 game against the Washington Capitals (broadcast by the Versus Network) will be moved from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
