Penguins Report: Trip to the White House
Pittsburghpenguins.com will be traveling with the Penguins to Washington, DC for their visit to the White House. Check back for updates throughout the day.

7:02 PM: The ceremony has ended and it's time for the team to head back to Pittsburgh.

6:45 PM: President Obama met privately with the players and coaches before the team joined him for a ceremony. Obama congratulated the Penguins on winning the Stanley Cup and also had a little fun with Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.

6:00 PM:
The Penguins finished up their tour of the White House and are awaiting the arrival of the President.

4:30 PM:  The Penguins are currently on their tour of the White House.

4:07 PM:  The crew joined the rest of the Penguins team and staff at the White House and are currently working their way through security.

3:00 PM:  The clinic ended and the Penguins crew is headed out for lunch.

1:30 PM:  Players arrive at the “Hockey is for Everyone” skills clinic. The clinic is at the Fort Dupont Ice Arena, the only public indoor ice arena located in Washington, DC, and the only skating facility in the area that provides free or subsidized skating and hockey programs to children. The event is a central component of the NHL's partnership with United We Serve, President Obama's call to service challenging all Americans to engage in sustained, meaningful service to meet growing social needs.

12:15 PM: Plane lands in DC. The Penguins crew boards a bus headed to the “Hockey is for Everyone” hockey skills clinic.

11:43 AM:  Small private charter departs for Washington, DC with Sidney Crosby, Marc-Andre Fleury, Jordan Staal, Bill Guerin, Brooks Orpik and three Penguins officials.
