RUSSIA CAPTURES BRONZE WITH 4-1 WIN OVER SWEDEN

Russia captured the bronze medal at the IIHF World Championship with a 3-1 win over Sweden on Sunday in Moscow.

Evgeni Malkin had one assist in the game to raise his tournament point totals to 10 points (5+5) in nine games for the Russians (8-1). Sergei Gonchar played, but did not register a point. He finished the tournament with five points (1+4) in nine games.
