HERSHEY SCORES IN OT TO END WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON'S SEASON
Alexandre Giroux’s power-play goal 4:58 into overtime lifted Hershey to a 7-6 win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in Game 5 of the AHL East Division Finals on Friday.
The win gave the Bears the series, 4-1.
Marc-Antoine Pouliot scored two goals for the Penguins. Joe Jensen, Robert Nilsson, Connor James and Jonathan Filewich also had goals. Micki DuPont had three assists and Kris Letang, playing in his first AHL game, added a helper as well for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Nolan Schaefer took the loss in goal as he made 29 saves.
