WILKES-BARRE\/SCRANTON ROLLS TO 8-1 WIN IN GAME 5

Eight different players found the back of the net Friday to lift Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to an 8-1 win at Norfolk in the AHL East Division Semifinals.

Tom Gilbert, Connor James, Stephen Dixon, Ryan Stone, Tim Wallace, Micki DuPont, Marc-Antoine Pouliot and Tyler Spurgeon all scored goals for the Penguins, who grabbed a 3-2 series lead.

Robert Nilsson had three assists in the win, while Ryan Lannon, Gilbert and DuPont added two assists. Kurtis McLean, Wade Skolney, Jean-Francois Jacques, Jonathan Filewich, James, Pouliot and Spurgeon all had assists.

Nolan Schaefer stopped 27 shots to earn the win in goal.

The series moves back to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for Game 6 Sunday afternoon.
