PENGUINS WELCOME NEW JERSEY TO MELLON ARENA ON THURSDAY
The Pittsburgh Penguins return to action Thursday at 7:30 p.m. as they welcome New Jersey to Mellon Arena.

Evgeni Malkin leads all rookies in scoring with 69 points (29+40) in 62 games. Colorado’s Paul Stastny is second with 63 points (22+41) in 67 games. Penguins winger Jordan Staal is sixth in rookie scoring with 36 points (27+9). He leads all NHL players with a 26.7 shooting percentage and seven short-handed goals, an NHL record for rookies.
Sergei Gonchar is tied for third in scoring among NHL defensemen with 54 points (11+43). He is four points behind Detroit’s Nicklas Lidstrom, who leads the list with 58 points (11+47).
