PENGUINS RETURN TO ACTION SATURDAY IN TORONTO

The Pittsburgh Penguins look to keep rolling Saturday in Toronto at 7 p.m.

FSN Pittsburgh will televise the contest at 7 p.m., while 105.9 The X will start its radio broadcast with a pregame show at 6:30 p.m. The broadcast may be found live through streaming audio on pittsburghpenguins.com as well. Tune in for Penguins Hotline following every game on 105.9 The X and the Penguins Radio Network. Join in the conversation with host Bob Grove by calling the Penn Telecom toll-free line at 1-866-922-2874.

Email crashthenet@pittsburghpenguins.com and maybe Bob Grove or Phil Bourque will answer your question during the second intermission of the game.

The Penguins (28-17-9) have picked up at least a point in their last 12 games and produced wins in 10 of those contests. The game against the Maple Leafs wraps up a two-game road set for Pittsburgh as it beat Philadelphia in a shootout on Thursday.

Sidney Crosby maintains his 14-point lead in the NHL scoring race. He has 86 points (25+61) in 51 games. Tampa Bay’s Martin St. Louis is second with 72 points (32+40) in 55 games.

Evgeni Malkin owns an 11-point lead in NHL rookie scoring. He has 59 points (26+33) in 50 games for the Penguins. Los Angeles center Anze Kopitar is second with 48 points (14+34) in 57 games.

Malkin leads all rookies in goals, while teammate Jordan Staal is second with 20 tallies on the year.

The Penguins return to action Wednesday at home against the Chicago Blackhawks.
