PENGUINS HEAD TO ATLANTA ON SATURDAY TO BATTLE THRASHERS

The Pittsburgh Penguins return to the ice Saturday at 7 p.m. in Atlanta.

FSN Pittsburgh will televise the contest at 7 p.m., while 105.9 The X will start its radio broadcast with a pregame show at 6:30 p.m. The broadcast may be found live through streaming audio on pittsburghpenguins.com as well. Tune in for Penguins Hotline following every game on 105.9 The X and the Penguins Radio Network. Join in the conversation with host Bob Grove by calling the Penn Telecom toll-free line at 1-866-922-2874.

Email crashthenet@pittsburghpenguins.com and maybe Bob Grove or Phil Bourque will answer your question during the second intermission of the game.

The Penguins (11-11-5) face the Thrashers for the first time this season and hope to snap their four-game winless streak.

With his spectacular goal Thursday night against the Rangers, Penguins center Sidney Crosby moved into a tie for second in the NHL scoring race with 37 points (12+25). He has played in four fewer games (24) than leader Jaromir Jagr, who has 41 points (13+28).

Penguins center Evgeni Malkin, who has 25 points (12+13) in 23 games, leads all NHL rookies in scoring. Los Angeles forward Anze Kopitar is second with 24 points (6+18) in 30 games.

The Penguins wrap up their three-game roadtrip Monday in Washington.
