Penguins prospect Kris Letang is looking for gold – again.

The young defenseman was one of 38 players invited to Team Canada’s National Junior Selection Camp in Calgary on Monday.

Letang is one of the returning players from Team Canada’s gold-medal performance at last year’s World Junior Championships in Vancouver. He had three points (1+2) in six games for Team Canada.

Letang had two goals in seven games with the Penguins this year before the 19-year-old was returned to his junior team in Val d’Or. He has 24 points (9+15) in 15 games for the Foreurs so far this year.

The selection camp will take place from Dec. 10-14 with a pair of intrasquad games scheduled for the Dec. 12 and 13. Team Canada will also face the CIS Western Conference All-Star team on Dec. 14 prior to the final team being named.

Canada will play its first game of the 2007 World Juniors in Sweden on Dec. 26 against Sweden.
