The Pittsburgh Penguins recalled Erik Christensen from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Wednesday.
Christensen led the Baby Penguins with 24 points (12+12), which ranked fifth in the American Hockey League. He is tied for seventh in the league with seven power-play goals.
He was riding a three-game point streak (3+2) and a three-game goal streak. Christensen takes the roster spot of defenseman Eric Cairns, who was placed on injured reserve with post-concussion symptoms.
