The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled right wing Ronald Petrovicky from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced Saturday by General Manager Ray Shero.
Petrovicky, 29, has not appeared in a game this season with the Penguins after having hip surgery prior to the season. He played four games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on a conditioning assignment and went scoreless with four penalty minutes.
The 6-0 and 195-pound native of Zilina, Slovakia was signed by the Penguins as a free agent on July 24, 2006. He has played in 311 NHL games, recording 86 points (38+48) and 401 penalty minutes.
