PENGUINS CONTINUE BUSY SCHEDULE SATURDAY WITH TRIP TO CAROLINA

Saturday, 11.11.2006 / 12:00 AM / News
Pittsburgh Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins travel to Carolina at 7 p.m. Saturday to take on the Hurricanes.

It is the fifth game in eight days for the Penguins (7-5-2), who have lost four-straight games – including two in overtime. Regardless, Pittsburgh has earned at least one point in seven of its last nine games.

The contest marks the second meeting between the two teams. Carolina posted a 5-1 win at Mellon Arena on Oct. 14.

In addition, it will be the second NHL meeting between Jordan and Eric Staal. Eric had a goal in the Hurricanes’ win over the Penguins in October.
