PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled center Maxime Talbot from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced Tuesday by General Manager Ray Shero.

Talbot, 22, leads Wilkes-Barre/Scranton with four goals in five games this season and leads the team with three game-winning goals, the game-winners coming in Wilkes-Barre’s last three games.  Talbot also has posted a plus-1 rating with two penalty minutes.

The 5-11 and 190 pound native of Lemoyne, Quebec appeared in 48 games with Pittsburgh last season, recording eight points (5+3) and 59 penalty minutes.  Additionally, Talbot appeared in 42 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording 32 points (12+20) and 80 penalty minutes.  In 11 playoff games, Talbot recorded nine points (3+6) and 16 penalty minutes.

Talbot was drafted by the Penguins in the eighth round (234th overall) of the 2002 Entry Draft.
