Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is on the verge of elimination for the AHL East Division Finals.

Hershey beat the Baby Penguins, 4-1, Sunday at home to claim a formidable 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Game 4 is Tuesday in Hershey and a Bears triumph would knock Wilkes-Barre/Scranton out of the postseason.

Jeff Schultz, Dave Steckel, Graham Mink and Jakub Cutta all scored goals for Hershey, which held the advantage in shots for the third-straight game. It was a 27-23 edge Sunday and the Bears scored two power-play goals on goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury.

Erik Christensen had Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s lone goal. He tallied on the power play from Ryan Stone and Shane Endicott 4:19 into the third period.

If the Baby Penguins win Tuesday, they will force a Game 5 in Wilkes-Barre on Friday.
