BABY PENGUINS BEAT BRIDGEPORT IN OVERTIME, 3-2
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Baby Penguins struck back against Bridgeport in the American Hockey League playoffs.
The Baby Penguins posted a 3-2 overtime road win over the Sound Tigers on Sunday to trim their deficit to 2-1 in the best-of-seven playoff series.
Matt Hussey scored 1:12 into overtime off assists from Erik Christensen and Kenny Corupe.
Krys Kolanos had a second-period power-play goal for the Baby Penguins. Ryan Whitney and Shane Endicott had assists.
Ryan Stone tied the game at 3-all in the third period when he scored a goal off assists from Max Talbot and Chris Kelleher.
Dany Sabourin stopped 23 of 25 shots to earn the win in goal.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton will try to even the series at 2-all with Game 4 in Bridgeport on Tuesday. Game 5 is in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Wednesday; Game 6 is in Bridgeport on Friday and Game 7 is Saturday in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
