The Binghamton Senators posted a 5-4 win Wednesday over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to prevent the Baby Penguins from clinching their first regular-season division title.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s magic number remains at two heading into Friday’s contest against Norfolk.
Stephen Dixon, Kenny Corupe, Max Talbot and Matt Hussey all scored goals for the Baby Penguins (47-18-5-5), who maintain a six-point lead over Hershey, 104-98, in the AHL’s Eastern Conference’s East Division. In addition, the Baby Penguins are tied with Portland for the most points in the Eastern Conference.
